Building Educated Leaders for Life, or BELL, is an award-winning summer and afterschool program model intended to transform the academic achievements, self-confidence, and life trajectories of children living in under-resourced, urban communities. BELL engaged The Learning Agenda to support efforts to enhance its BELL summer programming for middle-school youth.

TLA collaborated to fine-tune curriculum materials to be more user-friendly for practitioners, with the end result of better and deeper implementation; elevating the role of the lead teacher to instructional coach; and ensuring BELL’s program development efforts are informed by an advisory group of leading experts on adolescent development and programming.
